The Entropy series of photography-based and film/video works reflects my fascination with nature and the cyclical interplay of destruction and regeneration.

Photography, traditionally seen as a medium for creating realistic representations through optics and light-sensitive materials, also serves as a powerful tool for visualizing time, capturing light, mapping space, and recording indexical traces.

Through innovative experimentation with photographic technologies and materials—and collaboration with natural forces—I express a deeply personal connection to the landscape. Water is pivotal in my creative process due to its rich symbolic value. It embodies power, creation, and time, an ever-changing life source that shapes the earth. Across cultures and belief systems, water symbolizes cleansing, healing, vitality, and even survival in extreme conditions. This reverence for water resonates with my Chinese cultural heritage. Working on this series in Savannah, Georgia, I was drawn to the Savannah River, which became

the central focus of this project.
