Karinda Ristic is an emerging abstract artist originally from Cape Town, South Africa and is now living in Ontario, Canada. She creates ethereal abstract landscapes with mixed media, exploring the inner journey of one's authentic self.

Each landscape is an organic experience that allows her to express her journey in layers of colour, space and luminosity.

As a final touch, Karinda sews embroidery thread into the canvas. This not only acts as her personal signature, but it also amplifies the organic nature of the work and creates interesting lines and textures. The thread can be seen as a form of surgery, bonding and

strengthening the layers of colour, space and luminescence.
