Anders Jørgensen
Anders Jørgensen is a Norwegian visual artist working with photography as a medium of expression. Born in Honningsvåg, Finnmark, and currently based in Oslo, his work draws strong influence from the northern landscapes where he grew up. He studied photographic art at Robert Meyer Kunsthøgskole in Oslo, and his artistic voice has developed through a consistent exploration of the raw nature and post-war architecture that define much of Northern Norway.
Jørgensen’s photographs often reflect the quiet tension between environment and human presence, capturing a dialogue between built structures and the vast, untouched natural surroundings. His work balances documentary and poetic elements, offering a contemplative view on identity, place, and memory in the Arctic North.
He has exhibited extensively across Norway and internationally, and his work is represented in collections such as the North Cape Museum, The Robert Meyer Collection, and NorgesGruppen. Jørgensen is a member of the Norwegian Association of Independent Photographers (Forbundet Frie Fotografer), and has received multiple ND Awards for his work.
